The spaceship USS Shenandoah II passing earth's moon as the earth floats in the distant background. Shenandoahs HighGain antenna points back at earth relaying telemetry as the ship begins to fires its main engine to pick up speed for its 40 day journey to the planet Mars. The ship has onboard the latest in engine technologies the VISMAR nuclear engines that should propel the ship and crew to the Red planet in a little over 40 days.

David Robinson is a 2D and 3D digital artist. He has been a member of and staff artist for Ad Astra Magazine for the National Space Society. He is also the current staff artist for the Orange County Space Society California and the Journal of United Societies in Space, Inc. He has created artwork for the Mars Homestead Project to book cover illustrations dealing with astronomical and astronautical events dealing with both human and non human space travel. David was also recently picked to judge the Space Art Calendar contest sponsored by the National Space Society.
